Not all that glitters is gold.

This famous phrase, first used by William Shakespeare in his famous play. The Merchant of Venice first published in 1595,

Often takes me back to years ago, where I would  day dream and talk about getting married and starting a family with my girlfriends, romantic right?  Where our dreams were easily shared and the idea of marriage and starting a family "was a given" (or at least so we thought).

After almost three years of being happily married, and almost three years of Infertility, I soon realized that not all that glitters is gold. I have the  beautiful and romantic marriage that i have always dreamed about, but not the beautiful family... yet.

What I do however have , found nestled in the new season that we find ourselves in, (Spring) is renewed HOPE,  PEACE and LOVE.

HOPE: that will conceive in the right time.

PEACE:to no longer try and control when that time would be.

LOVE: to know that i am not alone in this journey, that i have found a safe space and place among many other South African Women that has the same dream to have a beautiful family. That we can share our hurts, disappointments and victories without fear, without rival, and that we are rooting for each other. ALWAYS.

Not all that glitters is gold. But we will somehow among the chaos and hurt find our gold, our romantic dream, and this time  it will be real and it will be forever.
